Supper Club Cabaret raises record amount
£70,000 was raised towards the work of JCD from an annual supper club cabaret, organised by its supper club committee under the chairmanship of Joy Moss. Mrs Moss, who is also chairman of JCD, said: “We are thrilled to have raised such a figure. I’d like to thank all the committee members who worked so hard to achieve such a success.” More than 200 people attended the event at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in central London, where they were entertained by the Cavern Beatles. The auction, which included a long weekend break in New York and a two-night stay in the Cotswolds, raised £7,500.
