JCD visit with North Cheshire Jewish Primary School
Daniel Burger joined 16 children from North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, five from Calderwood School in Glasgow as well as local Israeli children who live in the north of the country, on a visit to the Israel Sports Centre for the Disabled in Ramat Gan.
Included in the NJPS group was 11-year-old Charlotte Moryoussef, chair of the Junior Big Birthday Committee at the school, which last year raised £2,600 for JCD.
The children were shown round the centre by Boaz Kramer, head of public affairs, who will be in the Israeli tennis team at the Beijing Paralympics.
JCD has worked with the centre for 20 years funding the purchase of specialist sports wheelchairs and the Big Birthday Appeal has raised money to purchase wheelchairs for the centre through JCD.
Burger added: “It was heartening for the children from the UK to see the great work the centre is doing with the money they have raised.”
