JCD Chanukah Card Competition
JCD is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this Chanukah, and kicked off the celebrations by holding a Chanukah card competition in conjunction with the JC.
Children were asked to create a Chanukah card which will be sent to the thousands of Jewish Children around the world that JCD helps each year. Daniel Burger, Executive Director of JCD said "This is a great opportunity to get right back to our roots. JCD started as a once-a-year collection on the first Sunday of Chanukah for children by children, and allows us to promote the principles of tzedakah to Jewish children, something which is at the very core of JCD."
"The JC have been our Patrons for almost all of JCD's 60 years, and I am very pleased to see us continue to build on this relationship by working closely with them this Chanukah."
There was an overwhelming response to the competition, which was judged by David Rowan (Editor of the JC), June Jacobs (JCD's Life President) and Joy Moss (JCD's Chairman). The winners were Elisha Mann-Wineberg (aged 6), Julius Kochan (aged 10), Danielle Stanley (aged 11) and Michal Cohen (aged 12).
The cards are available to purchase in packs of 8 priced at £5 per pack. To order please contact JCD on 020 8446 8804 or info@jcd.uk.com
